Structures

Posts, trellis girders, and gutters are the main construction elements of a greenhouse. The size of post (both its circumference and the thickness of post walls) and of trellis girders (both the circumference and wall thickness of beams, as well as the thickness push and pull profiles) depend on the height, length, and width of the greenhouse, as well as on conditions set by the client, such as structures which must bear the additional weight of hanging gutters.
The parameters of posts, trellis girders, and rods, and also of other construction elements for each greenhouse are calculated according to the factors outlined above.
We use specially designed computer programs, such as Casta Kassenbouw (T.N.O.) for these calculations.
Energy saving curtain

These cloths are made from a special fabric designed to provide insulation and shade. Depending on the client's needs, the cloth can be made with varying degrees of opacity and insulating capability.
In practice, the cloths are raised and lowered automatically by a drive system using cables or gears. The track leading the cloth from trellis girders to trellis girders.

Greenhouse heating systems

A greenhouse heating system is built from several subsystems. Normally, the greenhouse is divided into lower, upper, and vegetative zone subsystems. Each subsystem is equipped with a mixing group that is a pump, three-way valve, and servomotor.
Hanging gutters

Cultivation in gutters is a modern method of raising cucumbers and tomatoes. The main advantage of gutters – apart from the convenience of production and maintenance – is the absence of water pooling, which can often lead to the development of disease in plants. The picture shows a view of a hanging gutter from below. The gutters are fitted on special hinges attached to the trellis girders. The added weight must be taken into account during construction.. In already standing greenhouses without the possibility of hanging gutters, special gutter stands can be used for the same purpose.
